Paola Navone's Taste for Reichenbach
“Taste”, is the latest collection of Paola Navone for the famous Deutch Reichenbach porcelain manufacturer, impressed completely without decoration and is absolutely hotel-suited. It surprises with broad, swung borders, which extend its “Neobarock” examples into abstraction.

Some words about the Reichenbach Tradition
European porcelain, the „White Gold“, was invented in Meissen nearly exactly 300 years ago, but still more than Saxonia the neighbouring Thuringia developed in the 19th century into a heart country of china industry. In Reichenbach, located between Jena and Gera, the beginnings of company Porzellanmanufaktur go back into the time around 1830. At that time the decoration workshops developed here, in which prefabricated white porcelain in complex manual work was painted. The real birth of the porcelain factory Reichenbach was seventy years later, when nine of these family businesses united and from now on took charge of the production of porcelain together. Up to the beginning of the Second World War a multiplicity of company-owned drafts, which develop today again the foundation-stone forms for classic Re-editions and new interpretations of porcelain sets and porcelain figures. With the establishment of the GDR 1949 the nationalization of the factory took place. As state-owned enterprise Reichenbach produced with priority for the export into the socialist countries.
