Chaise Fdf (510×470x800mm)

I saw Hugues Le Guen’s chair in maison Objet exhibition this January and I’ve asked for him to give me some more information about it and his studies. Today i’ve receaved his answer:

“I am 25 years old and I’m studying my third year in the art school of Brest. This is the year in which students choose a speciality (design or art), so working on design problems is new for me. Before entering the ESAB ( Ecole  Supérieur
d’Arts de Brest and is a part of the Association des écoles supérieures d’art de Bretagne), I have studied computer science for three years in France and Wales. I think Chaise FdF talks a lot about what I have done before. It is focused on the structure. This structure became the form like in old computer graphic softwa
res or very old 3D games. The first idea was to make something that enables somebody to sit with only six meters of iron rod. It has grown to 7 or 8 meters now to have a better rigidity and will evolve again to improve comfort.”
