FRONT is a design group of four: Sofia Lagerkvist, Charlotte von der Lancken, Anna Lindgren and Katja Sävström. They work as a group where all members are involved in the design process from initial discussions and ideas to final product. Their works are based on common discussions, exploring and investigations about different topics. And the final products often communicates a story to the observer about the design process, about conventions within the product field or about the material it is made of.

Since the start in 2003 they have done for example a collection of furniture in collaboration with different animals, a collection of products where a part of the design were determined by external factors, a constantly changing interiour, an investigation about the other functions of products and products that only exsist in a computer game.

This year during the Salone del Mobile exhibition, FRONT girls showed us their latest projects in 4 different places!

Glass Table | Suddenly she came upon a little table, all made of solid glass: there was nothing on it but a tiny golden key,...she found a little bottle with the words "DRINK ME". "What a curious feeling!" said Alice...She was now only ten inches high...When she got to the door, she found she had forgotten the little golden key, and when she went back to the table for it, she found she could not possibly reach it: she could see it quite plainly through the glass.
