Couture: Girls & Boy
Designed by Marcel Wanders for Graham and Brown

words by Marcel Wanders
I love the hard definition of architectural space.
I love the naked fragility of the human body.
Unfortunately the naked human body can not live in clean architectural space. We need interiors because architecture is too technically hard and rational to live in. Therefore I love to blur the boundaries between architecture and interior, between walls and furniture, between furniture and fashion. As our fashion dresses our bodies, wallpaper dresses our walls. Wallpaper and fashion mediate between our naked bodies and architecture. In this way, architecture and man can live together with the sophisticated illusion of Couture.

Introducing Suzanne, Alice, Grace, Kelly, Audrey, Isabella, Stella and Henry; the new collection of luxurious wall prints entitled Couture: Girls and Boy. This collection was created by Marcel Wanders for international wallpaper company Graham & Brown who are based in the UK with divisions in the US, Canada, Benelux, France, Germany, Russia and China.

These multi-dimensional patterns fill wall space with gorgeous tartans, floral trails and masque print in beiges, chocolates, golds, oranges, reds and deep violet tones. The new catalogue has  captivating and gravity defying photography by Marcel Wanders studio. The collection was displayed at the Moooi stand location in Milan at Superstudio Piu on Via Tortona 27 for the duration of the Salone.
