A family of modern coaching Inns, all in historic timber framed buildings. Using locally sourced food cooked simply; eating, drinking, lodgings.

Re-inventing the English Inn..all UK based. (Brand Strategy, concept and design:
‘One find ones best welcome at an Inn

The Inn brand is a celebration of English heritage, using English country materials such as rush matting, tweed and hand crafted pewter plates. Furniture such as Ercol chairs from nearby High Wycombe (once the chairmaking capital of UK), high back settles for protection and comfort, covered with traditional bold graphic patterned Welsh blankets, strapped on by saddle leather belts.

The food is central to the project; food with heart and soul, and puddings that make you feel happy. The buildings have open fires, crooked floors, nooks and crannies. The Olde Bell is the first to launch the brand.

The Olde Bell Inn, Hurley Berkshire - launched June 08
Parts of the building date back to 1135. The Inn encompasses a 16th century Tudor barn for big parties, a Malt house for medium gatherings and dining rooms for a dozen or more. Outside is a huge meadow garden and the river Thames is at the end of the road. Rosie Sykes is currently the heading up the kitchens across the family of Inns, whilst having launched her own book the ‘Kitchen Revolution’, in June 08, for Ebury Press. The book draws from seasonal produce and provides a no waste plan for your kitchen. The Inn keepers at the Olde Bell are Florence Fowler and Tony Albarno who have spent time at Alastair Little and  the renowned Anchor & Hope, Southbank, London.
