ECLIPSE 400
Makes all the other single-engine VLJs say,“No fair.”

The Earth slips away, almost without notice. At 13 minutes and 25,000 feet, you’re saying “hello” to your comfort zone and “goodbye” to turboprops and weather systems. Then a deep breath and it’s on with the climb.

With an incredibly low fuel burn, the Eclipse 400 is the world’s most fuel-efficient jet aircraft, making it as easy on the wallet as it is on the eyes. Thanks to the high-performance Pratt & Whitney Canada PW615F turbofan, you don’t have to sacrifice speed for fuel in the process. At 330 knots, the Eclipse 400 uses less than one pound of fuel per nautical mile. So the only thing more enjoyable than getting there is getting there with fuel to burn.

To support the Eclipse 500, we developed PhostrEx™, a revolutionary Halon-free fire suppression system approved by the EPA and FAA. Along with an all-electric system originally developed for the Eclipse 500, it greatly reduces the amount of hazardous materials on the Eclipse 400.

Not only does the Eclipse 500 significantly reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by reducing the amount of fuel burned, but it also emits far less engine smoke and CO and NOx, contributors to smog and ozone in the lower atmosphere. Every aircraft engine is assigned a regulatory smoke limit by the Civil Aviation Organization (CAO), and the percentage of the limit actually used is called the engine’s “smoke number.” The Eclipse 500’s smoke number is so small, it barely registers when measured.
