As we’re getting closer and closer to that special time of the year, we think of our loved ones and which gift would make them happy, we even pamper ourselves with unique gifts! For us here at Yatzer, you are our loved ones and we couldn’t leave you without a gift for this holiday season. Therefore, Yatzer in collaboration with one of our favorite designers Sam Baron and COLORSLAB is giving away 20 ‘COLORS COLLECTOR’ issues which will be won by 20 lucky YatzeReaders.

Sam Baron has been asked to curate the 20th Anniversary WINTER 2010 Edition of the quarterly COLORS MAGAZINE; a magazine which was established in 1991 and is part of the publishing activity of Fabrica, Benetton’s Communication Research Center. Images are above all, COLORS’ expressive medium: a method that is universal and reaches the greatest number of people with a strong, immediate impact. Using the visual language, COLORS’ themes alternate between the challengingly serious; such as ecology, wars around the world, the fight against AIDS, and the frankly frivolous, such as shopping, fashion and toys.

Sam Baron decided to curate this Anniversary Edition and work around the term ‘COLLECTORS.’ According to Baron, “collectors as: people that are made about objects, so let’s say design by extension or as a special object to keep as a souvenir!” The COLLECTORS issue unfolds 20 unique stories about each collector, telling something distinctive about their lives in 108 pages, of 147,234 collectibles.
“Ordinary people usually think that we’re a little bit crazy, that we don’t have better things to do. Collectors are creating breadcrumb trails of their lives,”
claims an avid collector.
