The market for design objects is small and exclusive. Only a copy makes the original suitable for mass production. In the process, despite the apparent close similarity, essential elements are often lost. Copies such as this offend the original, even if at heart they are a compliment to the original idea.

Villa Peet was designed as a sequence of contrasting spatial experiences. These contrasts create a feeling of entering new worlds behind a series of rabbit holes. The absence of traditional interior doors gives the ground floor a sence of continuity, although the different space are well defined.

To celebrate its 260th anniversary, PORZELLAN MANUFAKTUR NYMPHENBURG, has launched a limited edition of the famous COMMEDIA DELL'ARTE figures. Sixteen fashion designers were invited to create "new clothes" as a new décor for their favourite figure in the COMMEDIA DELL'ARTE group.

Aqua Creations is a design studio that originates artistic ideas into design objects bringing together an organic aesthetic and an appreciation for practicality founded by designer Ayala Serfaty and photographer Albi Serfaty.

It's a fusion of dance video routines, time signal music and clock utility. The video sequence and the clock display intervenes one another every 5 seconds, while the time signal music seamlessly connects the two.  The infinite video sequence appears randomly and endlessly.

Nick Jones of Soho House commissioned Tom Dixon, in 2007 to design his extended members club in Shoreditch, London's undisputedly edgiest address. This exclusive members club, is still one of my favorite works by Tom Dixon. Today I'm sharing some backstage images from it's construction.
