The OKOLO creative group which was founded in 2009 on an impulse by Adam Štěch, Jakub Štěch, and Matěj Činčera, famous for their focus on creating original projects in the form of exhibitions and products, recently completed a print project called OKOLO Mollino as a tribute to one of the most authentic creative figures of the last century, Carlo Molino (1905 -1973).  The book was created with the collaboration of Studio Činčera and Signpek print. Foreword for the book was written by Fulvio Ferrari, curator of Casa Mollino.

Dedicated to the Italian designer, the book features laser-cut models of his creations and was completed entirely by hand!  Its first edition consists of only 80 pieces and for the publication's launch, the OKOLO group created a special installation in the 3DH furniture showroom in Prague.  Special designed prints, several books on Mollino and paper models couldn't have been placed anywhere but on an original Cavour table by Carlo Mollino (produced by Zanotta).

The book is divided into six basic chapters, i.e. six life stages and six of Mollino’s passions. Apart from a text on a specific theme, each part brings a materialized symbol of Mollino’s creativity. Thus, the reader can assemble miniature models of Mollino’s fascinating projects, implementations, and symbols related to Mollino’s life. Paper models serve to update the versatile activities of the charming Italian and place his work into a new context. Mollino will be gradually presented as a visionary designer, excellent architect, courageous race driver, fearless acrobatic pilot, style-setting skier, photographer and womanizer.

The price of the book is 43€ and you can order it directly by sending your request to the OKOLO group. A second edition of 80 pieces will be available soon!
