David John

David John was born in 1974 in Memphis.  He completed his BA in Communications at Loyola University of Chicago, and is currently completing a Master of Interior Architecture at UCLA-Cal Poly.  He created the site, ''You Have Been Here Sometime - YHBHS,'' as a means to engage designers & artists, and to further his own understanding and curiosities.  Through his site, he expanded his knowledge of design history, which has since led to freelance writing opportunities for various publications.  In addition to writing, he recently formed a small design firm based in Los Angeles focusing on residential and commercial projects with Krista Schrock.
Early on, David realized the importance of working in a creative team and is always seeking new people to collaborate with.   He firmly believes that "it is in collaborations that truly magnificent things happen!"  It is his optimistic & curious manner that propels him to design for his own clients.  Interior design is the culmination of his skills, and it feels as if all paths eventually led him to this career.
At his core, David lives and breathes design.  He feels lucky that part of his job is to track down those that inspire him and write about them for Yatzer.  He looks forward to sharing his design obsessions with readers, and taking a head first plunge into the waters of Yatzer!
