When product design meets graphic design and typography, a series of playful letter-shaped candelights are born.  "Vers Libre" is a range of candle holders inspired by Dadaism and specifically by the woodcut fonts used around that time.  Designed by product designer Lina Meier and graphic designer Sara Keranen-Gramner, who are the creative duo behind Studio Yra.
Their aim is to combine typography and product design in ordert to create functional and visually compelling products with a sense of personality.

Studio Yra is currently based in north London. Their letter-shaped plywood candle holders are available in different colours. Due to their shape they can be standing, lying flat or even upside down and can hold both candles as well as tea lights.
Studio Yra will be exhibiting their work at the Clarkenwell Design Week in London on the 25th - 27th May. Even if you miss them you will be able to have a close up of their work at their small stand at Pulse in London, between the 6th and 8th of June.

With a little bit of font-acy and "Vers Libre" candle holders, your candlelight dinner party will certainly make a difference!
