The famous Beirut based .PSLAB  design studio has finished its latest project, a lighting system for the Tamarai restaurant in Cairo. .PSLAB has adopted an industrial look for this concept using matt black metal beams carrying horseshoe-like fixtures.  The beams have a cut that allows the light to spread around whilst they are black matt painted from outside. This way the industrialized character of the beams is highlighted even better, however there is always a hand-crafted touch despite the modern appearance of the whole project. The grid of the substructure is induced by the façade’s architectural layout of windows and walls.
