Einstein's theory of relativity created a fundamental link between space and time. The Clumsies - a bar setting new, intoxicating standards in downtown Athens - has created a fundamental link between customer and server. This place isn't just about ordering a drink: it's really about rediscovering your own taste buds! Firmly lodged in the World's Best Bars List since it first opened in 2012, The Clumsies was dreamt up by a brotherhood of award-winning bartenders, entrepreneurs and hospitality wunderkinds, who all lived by the same rule: that serving the perfect drink simply isn't enough.

Constructed on multiple levels within the shell of a 1903 neoclassical townhouse, The Clumsies serves familiarity with a dash of exclusivity in a laid-back environment that could easily be mistaken for a modern-day gentlemen's club. Connecting with the customer is the epicentre of this highly imaginative establishment. Case in point: The signature cocktail menu. Based on the concept of discovery, the first menu took the shape of a wooden box filled with fragrant mason jars, where customers were prompted to sniff out their favourite cocktail! Now, in the first quarter of 2017, you're invited to pick your poison through a clever board game, where beverages are divided into categories based on flavour references to the past, the present and the future. If you're in the mood for a more tailor-made experience, you can always book The Room, an Ali Baba cave of rare spirits sporting a fireplace, pool table and a collection of vinyl for up to 10 people, attended by a private award-winning mixologist. Because when it comes to cocktails, imagination is the only weapon in the war against reality.
