After the question of 'What to do?' arose, and soon finding out that journalism wasn't offered as a course at the American University of Beirut, a university her parents insisted she enroll in, she nevertheless completed a degree in English Language and Literature, what she believed was the closest thing to her passion for writing. Having pleased her parents she embarked on her career, determined to get into writing and publishing, whatever it took. While working as a journalist she fell in love with all things related to art and design and began climbing the publishing ladder. Using her love of the creative arts and her natural talent, she soon became immersed in all things artistic, from product design to architecture and fine arts. With connections across the creative industries in Lebanon, the Gulf and further afield, there's nothing she enjoys more than browsing for that killer piece, that outstanding interior, that detailed architectural project... She's worked on publications for Sotheby's, The Four Seasons and more, creating magazines, websites, one-offs and a host of special projects. If it's artistic or designer, chances are Khalil has put pen to paper and written something about it.
