Bruges-based Belgian artist, Stefaan De Croock, was born in 1982. His background in fine arts—he received his Masters in graphic design from Sint-Lucan in Ghent—has clearly inspired his artistic project, Strook, which he began in 2011. Many works, ranging in scales and mediums have since been added to the project and it has been exhibited in both solo as well as group shows worldwide. Many of his large scale murals, which are created out of found objects such as old doors and furniture, have been commissioned on walls around Europe, such as “Wood and Paint” (2014) in Bruges and Vooruit & Voka in Ghent. Fittingly, they have received much critical acclaim.
