Designer, Yaroslav Misonzhnikov, was born in Leningrad, USSR in 1988. After receiving a Bachelor in Decorative and Applied Arts from Saint-Petersburg State University, he won a grant to study Interior Design at Artfuture Design School before returning to Saint-Petersburg State to receive his Masters in Spatial Design. 

Since 2008 he’s participated in a number of exhibitions around the world, such as the Stockholm Furniture Fair in Sweden and the ICFF in N.Y.C. in 2010; Salone Del Mobile during Moscow Design Week and Giulio Cappellini Presents 02.2.20 Project in Milan, Italy in 2011; “Born in the USSR” at Wallpaper & Elena Shchukina Gallery in London in 2014; and Naturalist in Saint-Petersburg, Russia in 2015.

Misonzhnikov is the recipient of a number of design awards, such as the Special Diploma from the 02.2.20 Competition (Giulio Cappellini was chairman of the jury); 1st Place in Product Design at Archiwood, Moscow; and Yatzer’s Best Of Milan Design Week in 2013 and 2014. He is currently the Producer of the Naturalist Project which strives to bring a relationship with nature back into the daily life of urban residents.
