Yusuke Seki

Tokyo-based designer, Yusuke Seki, was born in 1978. He worked at the Interior Design Office in Tokyo before establishing his own studio in 2008. Many of his works have been shown at International trade shows and fairs including Salone del Mobile in Milan, The Stockholm Furniture and Light Fair and the Tokyo Style Exhibition, among others.

In his work, he believes that the function of a space is essential to its design  and garners inspiration "from aspects which already exist within the context: such as materials, location, history." His worldwide clientele includes: candy store, Papabubble in Shibuya, Yokohama and Amsterdam; kimono makers, Otsuka Gofukuten in Kobe; and BAKE Cheese Tart Store in Kyoto, among many others. Some of these projects have previously been presented on Yatzer: in 2012 (Papabubble Candy Store, Yokohama) and 2013 (Otsuka Gofukuten Kimono Store, Kyoto).
