Founder and principal architect of ARCHSTUDIO, Han Wenqiang was born in Dalian, Liaoning, China. He holds a Master's degree in Architectural Design and Theory from the School of Architecture of CAFA (China Central Academy of Fine Arts), where he has since returned as a lecturer in the Interior Design Research Section. He founded ARCH STUDIO in 2010, a practice that is devoted to using multi-perspective and rational means to intervene at the development of contemporary urban living environments. Combining his teaching with research, he has explored varied creations and practices. 

His major works include a series of culture and art exhibition spaces, the Rongbaozhai antiques store along with its branches across the country, and, among others, Siheyuan and Hutong residences in Beijing.
