Carlos Alfonso is originally from Popayán, Colombia. He studied Plastic Arts and Industrial Design in Bogotá, but didn’t graduate from arts and never did a design project. From 2008 to 2012 he rented an atelier in the center of Bogotá, which later on turned into ‘Sótano 30-45’, a space that sometimes, was used for art exhibitions, music concerts and other cultural events. Then he participated in a couple of residencies in Europe and realized he wanted to travel and move from Colombia. He has comic called ‘Ancient Abstract Stories’ published by La Silueta (CO. Carlos lives in Brussels (BE) and is finishing an MFA in Sint-Lukas School of Arts.
